I like to begin with staying (keeping good distance) from the enemy. Not because I don't like playing paintball or not because I'm afraid of getting hit, but because this is where my personal X7 excels.
#1) Range- Most others who have paintball weapons don't seem to have the range I have. Every time I had range fight with one or up to 6 guys, their guns didn't have the range mine had. I like to take fights when the enemy doesn't understand what my weapon is capable of and how far it can shoot. To hear them swearing as I begin to rain paint on them is very satisfying. ;D
#2) Rate of Fire- This is my personal first owned paintball weapon so I don't have a ton of experience on what others are able to do. (I know Spike's Angel can scream) My X7 has the E-Grip that makes my life very nice. I know I don't have a super speedball weapon. Most others I go against seem to have the R/T triggers. This last game was the first game in 2 years I turned up the rate of fire on my X7 from the default 15 BPS to 20BPS. It seemed to make all the difference in the world, in the last super game. My ability to subdue the opposition, by the sheer volume of paint I was lying down, was nice. This was the first time I encountered this feeling of being nearly invincible.
#3) Accuracy- My weapon is highly accurate at the moment. There is only one small draw back to my weapon that effects my accuracy and that is the slight recoil my weapon gives while being fired. This isn't a big issue for me seeing how I always handle my weapon with a very firm grip as I fire. I'm researching bolts for my X7 to decrease the recoil my weapon gives. The recoil isn't much of an issue for me to be accurate though. I'm also looking into magnified red dot scopes as well, not to be confused with a snipers scope. I'm not sure how accurate the red dot will be when put on my X7 or how well the red dot scopes will magnify my targets.
I like to go in CQC (close quarter combat) with my stock folded in and walk in hot, lighting folks up along my way.
I hate being flanked while I am pinned and the newer folks behind me not taking out the enemy that are shooting me. This happened at the last super game. I kept pointing the enemy out to the newer folks but they seemed to scared to move against the enemy. I'm sure they were newer to the sport so I don't hold any grudge against them, but they had so many chances to clear the flank, in the DMZ, while I was suppressing the right side of the DMZ near the net. We made head way numerous times in the DMZ but we didn't have support from the rear at all. So every time we go past the tree-shaded area along the net, the enemy flank with close in on us from 3 different positions and take us down. It was fun, but it could have been better.
Something happened toward the end of the super game that I’m dying to tell you guys, but I was told not to go online and share what took place, at least not for now. I will wait for an event to take place with one of the major paintball names before I can tell you guys about.
